Acid attack suspect wanted after ‘tossing acid at man who refused to buy cannabis off him’ Latest News

COPS have released an e-fit of a suspected acid attacker who lobbed corrosive liquid at a man’s face during a botched robbery.

The attack in east London left the victim with horrifying scars.

The suspected attacker is of Mediterranean appearance, slim build, clean shaven and in his late 20s.

He was last seen wearing a bright red hoodie, a dark baseball cap and dark-coloured trousers, and spoke with a London accent.

Two men approached a 32-year-old walking along Stratford High Street at around 11.30pm on May 22.

He asked to buy cannabis off them and then demanded money.

When the man refused, one of the pair tossed “corrosive liquid” in his face.

In agony, the victim ran to Stratford Underground station where staff called an ambulance which rushed him to emergency care.

The 32-year-old was treated for severe burn injuries in an east London hospital and was transferred to a facility outside of the capital for specialist care.

Docs told the victim his scarring would be permanent.

But cops haven’t been able to arrest anyone, despite trawling through CCTV from the Newham area.
