Asda recalls chilli con carne from stores around UK Latest News

SUPERMARKET giant Asda’s has issued an urgent recall on chilli con carne.

RECALL: A batch of chili con carne sold at ASDA has the wrong ingredients listed

The chain has told shoppers not to eat tins of Stagg Classic Chili Con Carne due to a mix up.

Manufacture Tulip Ltd is recalling the items after some cans were found to contain an unlisted ingredient.

They include the use-by-dates up to, and including, May 2019.

SUPERMARKET: Customers who have bought the cans will be given a refund

The affected batch contain 1.04% milk protein, which is not declared on the label.

The Walmart-owned supermarket has 525 stores across the UK.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned people not to eat the products and to return them.

They added the recall was ordered as a “precautionary step”.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
