COMEBACK KING? Ricky Hatton revealed who he would like to fight

Rio, 39, revealed earlier this year that he was stepping into the ring to take part in a professional fight.

Following the loss of his wife, Rebecca, Rio said the gym kept his mind focussed, which led to him taking up boxing.

Ever since Rio’s announcement, a host of names from in and out of the boxing world have stepped up to take him on.

And despite giving up eight inches to him in height, Ricky, also 39, said he’d love the chance to take him on.

He said: “I’ll make a comeback and fight him.”

Ricky also took time to pay tribute to the former England captain and his decision to take up boxing later in life.

He added: “Rio’s a great lad and a boxing fan.

“He wouldn’t have taken it up if he wasn’t going to give it a go and do it justice.”

Rio is currently being trained by former British champion Richie Woodhall in a bid to get a licence ahead of a potential fight next year.
