Stoke-on-Trent fire: Firefighters scramble to blaze in Milton Latest News

A HUGE fire has broken out in Stoke-on-Trent as plumes of thick black smoke dominate the skyline.

Three fire engines are tackling the large fire which is burning 20 tonnes of plastic bales.

Ermegency services scrambled to the scene. 

Staffordshire Fire Service state they have received over 50 calls in relation to the blaze.

And people have been urged to stay indoors as the smoke can be irritant.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We are responding to an incident on Redhills Road, in Milton.”

No one is believed to have been injured at this stage.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they have three fire engines at the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “Fire at Redhills Road, Milton, Stoke-On-Trent giving off large plumes of smoke.

“We have had in excess of 50 calls for this incident alone.

“People in area affected by smoke from should stay indoors as any smoke can be an irritant.”
